Storage containers: more space without building or renting a warehouse

Storage containers made from shipping containers are one of the fastest and most affordable ways to gain storage space. Built from Corten steel, enclosed and watertight, they lock with a padlock and protect what you store from rain, dust and theft.

Construction companies use them to keep tools on site, businesses for stock or archives, and private owners as a storage unit on a plot or farm. They are available for sale or rental, new or used, and we deliver them wherever you need.

  • From 10 ft (~15 m³) to 40 ft High Cube (~76 m³).
  • Inspected, watertight used units, or new first-trip containers.
  • Locking bars for security and treated timber flooring.
  • Can be placed on any firm, level ground.

On-site storage, business storage or storage unit

For businesses and construction sites

Tools and machinery on site, seasonal stock, event equipment or archives. If you need it for a set period, container rental is the most practical option.

  • Protects against theft with a padlock or security lock.
  • Several containers can be placed in a row or stacked.

For private customers

A storage unit on your plot, farm or warehouse for furniture, tools, bicycles or garden equipment. In the long term, buying a used container is usually the most economical option.

  • Check with your local council whether you need a permit.
  • We recommend ventilation if you will store textiles or paper.

Frequently asked questions about storage containers

Can a shipping container be used for storage?

Yes. It is one of its most common uses: it is an enclosed, watertight steel structure that protects what you store from rain, dust and theft.

Which container is best for storage?

For most uses, a used 20 ft Dry (~33 m³) is the most practical. If you need a lot of space, the 40 ft (~67 m³) or the 40 ft High Cube (~76 m³). For a small storage unit, the 10 ft.

Is it better to buy or rent a storage container?

For a few months, rent. If you will use it for more than 12–24 months, buying usually pays off, especially a used container.

Does moisture get into a container?

A container in good condition is watertight. To store textiles, paper or furniture for a long time, it is a good idea to ventilate it to prevent condensation.

Do I need a permit to put a container on my land?

It depends on the municipality and the use. Temporary storage use does not usually require one, but we recommend checking with your local council.

How is the container positioned?

We unload it with a crane truck or tilt-bed trailer onto firm, level ground. Ideally, with concrete supports at the four corners.
