Container transport: delivery and unloading options

The price and delivery method depend on how the container is unloaded. We recommend the most suitable option based on access and ground conditions:

Crane truck

The truck carries its own crane and sets the container down in the exact spot, even over walls or fences. The most precise option when space is tight.

Tilt-bed trailer

The chassis tilts and the container slides down to the ground. It needs clear space behind the truck, but no crane is required.

Container truck

Flatbed transport for deliveries to ports, terminals or facilities that have their own unloading equipment (forklift or crane).

What to check before delivery

A fast delivery with no surprises starts with checking the destination. Before confirming, we will ask you about these points:

Truck access

A 20 ft container travels on a truck of about 10 to 12 metres and a 40 ft container on a trailer of over 16 metres. Check the width of the road, bends, overhead cables and branches.

Firm, level base

Ideally, concrete pads or blocks at the four corners, or a slab. For simple uses, compacted gravel will do. The key is that it is level and drains well.

  • If the container will stand on a public road, a council occupancy permit may be required.
  • Send us photos or the location of the site and we will tell you which vehicle to use.

How we organise transport

  1. Delivery details

Postcode, container type and size, access conditions and how the container should be positioned.

  2. Transport quote

The cost depends on the route and the type of unloading. We quote it together with the purchase or rental, or as a standalone service.

  3. Planning

We book the right vehicle and confirm the delivery date and time slot. We let you know before the truck arrives.

  4. Delivery and positioning

The driver unloads and positions the container at the agreed spot. You check the unit and sign for the delivery.

Transport combined with purchase or rental

When you buy your container

If you buy from us, transport is quoted separately from the outset so you can see the real delivered cost. See our new and used containers for sale.

When you rent your container

With container rental we handle delivery and collection at the end, with the same care.

Frequently asked questions about container transport

How much does it cost to transport a container?

It depends on the route (origin and destination) and the type of unloading: by crane truck or tilt-bed trailer. That is why it is quoted case by case; send us your postcode and we will give you a fixed price.

How is a container delivered?

Usually by container truck to your location. To set it on the ground, a tilt-bed trailer or a crane truck is used, depending on the access and site conditions.

How long does delivery take?

Generally between 4 and 7 days from order confirmation, depending on transport availability and distance.

Do you deliver to other cities or countries?

Yes. We offer national transport throughout Spain and international transport subject to availability and logistics conditions.

How do I prepare the base for the container?

The base must be level, firm and able to bear the weight. The most common options are concrete pads, blocks or a slab with supports at the corners. For simple uses, a compacted gravel base will do. Ensure good drainage and avoid uneven ground.

Can you transport a container I did not buy from you?

Ask us. Depending on the route and vehicle availability, we can arrange the transfer of third-party containers.

Where do we need to take your container?

Tell us the postcode, the container size and what the access is like, and we will send you a transport quote.
