Why rent a shipping container?
Containers are weatherproof, can be padlocked and can be placed on any firm, level ground. These are the most common uses for container rental:
On-site storage
Keep tools, machinery and materials on site, protected from theft and rain, for the whole duration of the build or renovation.

3 and 6 metre office units, toilet blocks and security cabins to organise your site from day one.

Temporary storage, point of sale, ticket booth or bar: a container is quick to install and remove and stands up to heavy use.
Farming seasons
Extra space for tools, plant protection products or harvest during the season, without building or extending facilities.

Seasonal stock, archives, house moves or shop refurbishments: more space without renting a warehouse or signing long contracts.
Temporary cold storage
Refrigerated containers to keep food or temperature-sensitive products during an event or a production peak.

The answer depends mainly on how long you will use it. As a general rule, somewhere between 12 and 24 months the cumulative cost of renting can exceed the purchase price.

Frequently asked questions about container rental
How long can I rent a container for?
For as long as you need. We tailor the rental to the duration of your build, event or season, and if the project runs over you can extend it.
Is it cheaper to rent or buy a container?
For short-term use of a few months, renting is the most economical option because you avoid the upfront investment. If you will use it in the medium or long term, buying is more cost-effective: typically, somewhere between 12 and 24 months the cumulative rental exceeds the purchase price.
What do I need to receive a rental container?
Firm, level ground with good drainage, and access where the truck can manoeuvre. For simple uses, compacted gravel is enough; for longer stays we recommend concrete supports at the corners.
Is transport included?
Delivery and collection transport is quoted together with the rental, based on the distance and type of unloading (crane truck or tilt-bed trailer).
Can I rent a refrigerated container?
Yes. Ask us about the availability of 10, 20 or 40 ft refrigerated containers for your dates.
What if my project runs longer than planned?
You can extend the rental. If you see you will need it for more than a year, we help you compare the cost with buying a used container so you can choose the most cost-effective option.
