2. What data we process and how we obtain it
We only process the data you provide voluntarily:
- Contact form: name, telephone, email, subject and the content of your message.
- Quote request form: name or company, telephone, email, container type, whether you want to buy or rent, number of units, delivery postcode and comments.
- Direct communications: the data contained in the emails, calls or WhatsApp messages you send us.
We do not collect special categories of data and we do not carry out profiling. The website does not sell online and therefore never requests or stores bank or payment details.

We do not send commercial communications by electronic means unless we have your prior consent or a previous contractual relationship regarding similar products or services; in that case, every communication will include a simple, free way to object.
4. Retention period
Data from enquiries and quotes that do not lead to a contract is kept for as long as the commercial relationship lasts and, afterwards, for one year, unless you ask us to erase it sooner. Data linked to a contract is kept for the duration of the relationship and, afterwards, for the applicable statutory limitation periods (in particular, six years for commercial and accounting purposes and four years for tax purposes).
5. Recipients of the data
Personal data is not disclosed to third parties except where required by law. The following suppliers may access the data as processors, under a signed data processing agreement:
- Web hosting and email provider.
- Tax and accounting advisers.
- Transport and logistics companies, where strictly necessary to deliver the container.
If you use WhatsApp to contact us, the processing of your data within that application is also governed by its provider’s terms.
6. International transfers
No international transfers of data outside the European Economic Area are envisaged. Should they become necessary in the future, they will be carried out with the safeguards set out in Chapter V of the GDPR and you will be informed in advance.
7. Your rights
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability at any time, and withdraw any consent given, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
To do so, simply send a request to sales@marcontainers.com or to the postal address given above, enclosing a document proving your identity and stating which right you wish to exercise.
If you believe your data has not been handled properly, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (C/ Jorge Juan, 6, 28001 Madrid – www.aepd.es).
8. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk and to prevent the loss, misuse or unauthorised access to the data.
9. Minors
The services of MARENGO CONTAINERS, S.L. are aimed at adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 14.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect regulatory changes or new processing activities. The version in force will always be the one published on this page.
